Our Programs
The Love Painting Foundation creates multiple pathways for young people and communities to experience the arts. From yearlong youth mentorship and school partnerships to community arts experiences and access to creative supplies, our programs are designed to meet people where they are and create opportunities to learn, explore and grow.

School & Community Partnerships
We partner with schools and community organizations to bring hands-on art experiences directly to young people. Through collaborative murals, painting experiences, mentorship and creative career exposure, students build confidence, develop new skills and play an active role in transforming the spaces around them.
Creative Futures
Creative Futures is our yearlong youth arts and mentorship program for young people ages 12–18. The program is designed to give young people more than an opportunity to make art. Participants receive consistent creative instruction, mentorship and meaningful experiences that help them build confidence, develop their talents, discover new interests and imagine new possibilities for their futures.
Throughout the year, participants will take part in hands-on art instruction, collaborative murals and public-art projects, portfolio development, goal setting, creative career and entrepreneurship exposure, exhibitions and cultural experiences. Youth will also have opportunities to learn directly from working artists, creative professionals and mentors.
Experiences may extend beyond the classroom through visits to museums, galleries, cultural institutions and other arts destinations locally, regionally, nationally and, internationally.
As participants develop their skills, selected youth may also have opportunities to take on leadership roles or participate in paid art-assistant and creative project opportunities based on age, readiness, skills and project needs.
No previous art experience is required. Creative Futures is about helping young people discover what they are capable of and giving them the exposure, support and opportunities to keep growing.
Art Supplies & Creative Access
Every young person should have the opportunity to create, regardless of whether they have access to art materials at home.
Through our Art Supplies & Creative Access program, The Love Painting Foundation provides art supplies and creative materials directly to children and young people and through schools, community organizations and Foundation programs.
Support may include individual art supplies, Creative Art Kits, materials for school and community projects, and supplies that allow young people to continue creating beyond a single workshop or event.
By helping remove the cost of basic creative materials, we want young people to have more opportunities to experiment, practice, develop their skills and make art part of their everyday lives.
Community Arts & Creative Enrichment
Creativity has the power to bring people together.
The Love Painting Foundation provides accessible arts experiences for children, youth, adults and families through hands-on workshops, community painting experiences, collaborative art projects, public art, visiting artists and exhibitions.
These programs are designed to create welcoming opportunities for people to explore their creativity, learn new skills and connect with others through art. From community painting events to artist-led workshops and public art projects, we want creativity to be something people can experience together.
Our community programming will continue to grow as we develop new partnerships and expand our reach throughout Philadelphia.
Creative Arts Center & Expanded Programing
Creating a Permanent Home for Creativity
The Love Painting Foundation is working toward the acquisition of a permanent Creative Arts Center in Philadelphia, a dedicated space where young people, artists, families and community members can create, learn and connect.
The center is envisioned to include art studios, youth learning and mentorship spaces, workshops, gallery and exhibition space, mural and public-art workspace, and creative career programming.
More than a building, we envision a place young people can return to, where they can belong, develop their talents, build relationships and discover possibilities beyond what they have already seen.
